Ho! Ho! Ho! ‘Tis season to be jolly!

It’s that time of the year! Christmas is a great time to make memories that will last a lifetime. Come November and kids are already thinking of Christmas gifts. However, there are ways to show them the true value of Christmas without focusing on Christmas gifts. Spend this Christmas season with your kids and create everlasting memories!

Start Christmas Traditions : If you don’t already have Christmas traditions for your family, it’s a great idea to come up with some. Simple traditions are all you need. Try decorating the Christmas tree together or start a Secret Santa ritual. How about a father and child Christmas Cake baking workshop?  Surprise the family with some delicious goodies! So, what tradition will you start this year?

Plan a party:  ‘Tis the season of merriment. Invite your kid’s friends and plan a Christmas themed party. To entertain the kids, bring over a story teller who can weave in the message of Christmas in some magical stories. And someone from the family can become Santa to give away exciting gifts to the little ones! It doesn’t take much to bring in the cheer with the little ones.

Keep ‘em busy: There are loads of things that you can get your kids to do over the holidays. Enrol them into a craft workshop to make some wonderful Holiday Cards to be posted to family (yes, show them how to use that post box!J) or get them to decorate Christmas cookies with sprinkles and icing. Put up the lights and help them make a crib along with you.

Everyone deserves a little time off work and what better time than Christmas. Take some time off, and spend that time with your kids. No Santa can compete with the cheer that you bring on your kids’ faces by just being with them.

Merry Christmas!
